If you plan to use an adjustable base, choose the 11.5-inch Saatva Classic. Saatva's current product and adjustable-base pages both exclude the 14.5-inch Classic from adjustable-base use.

- Make sure the mattress height in your cart is 11.5 inches.
- Match mattress and base sizes exactly.
- For Split King or Split Cal King, check Saatva's current pairing requirements.
- Save the compatibility and warranty language that applies on purchase day.
Using a third-party adjustable base
The mattress manufacturer’s approval is only one side of the setup. If you use a non-Saatva base, confirm that the base manufacturer allows an 11.5-inch innerspring/hybrid mattress of the Classic’s size and weight. Also verify the base fits your frame or platform without blocking articulation.
Why the 14.5-inch version changes the answer
Saatva’s current guidance distinguishes between the two Classic heights. That is why a generic statement such as “the Saatva Classic works on adjustable bases” is incomplete. The mattress height in the order must be checked before purchase.
